Who doesn’t love a good TREASURE HUNT?

In celebration of this year’s GO Fest, The Wild Way will be hosting a GEOCACHE HUNT at the Explore Park. Geocaching is a real-world treasure hunt where participants use GPS coordinates and clues to find hidden containers called “caches”. Once you find a cache, you sign the logbook inside and/or record your find in the Geocaching app. Caches occasionally contain little prizes, and you are also free to leave a surprise in the cache for the next person to find.

This Geocache Hunt will feature multiple caches hidden throughout the Explore Park, starting at Journey’s End. As you hunt, you’ll learn more about how early settlers to our region lived while following a series of clues that take you from cache to cache. If you find the final cache at the end and sign the log book, you’ll be entered to win a prize!

Families can do this hunt at ANY time during GO Fest on their own using the Geocaching app or geocaching.com. We will be doing a group hunt from 1pm to 2pm on Sunday, October 18th, if you’d like to hunt with other people and learn more about The Wild Way.

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation will NOT be provided for this event. Please meet us at the log cabin at the Journey’s End parking lot at the Explore Park at 1pm. We anticipate that this hunt will take approximately one hour. If transportation is a barrier to your child’s participation, please let us know and we will work to find a solution.
