Spring Break (Roanoke City): Monday, March 25 - Friday, March 29 (click here to enroll)

  • Wasena Park 1001 Winchester Avenue Southwest Roanoke, VA, 24015 United States (map)

The Wild Way Spring Break Camp is back for 2024!

(This camp overlaps with both Roanoke City and Roanoke County/Salem public school spring break.)

There’s no excuse to be bored this spring break! Join us for a full week of outdoor adventure, including hiking, climbing, caving, camping skills, and more. At this time, we are enrolling girls ages 9 to 14.

Transportation is provided to each day’s adventure location; we ask that parents drop-off and pick-up children at Wasena Park. Drop-off is at 8:30am each morning and pick up at 3:30pm. This five-day day camp includes the following adventures*:

  • A beautiful and exciting hike (location TBD may include Cascades, Devil’s Marbleyard, or Humpback Rock)

  • Low- and high-ropes courses at Camp Bethel in Fincastle, VA

  • Caving in a real wild cave in the New River Valley (a NEW cave that The Wild Way hasn’t visited in the past)

  • Ecological education at Apple Ridge Farms in Copper Hill, VA, with a visit from some of the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center’s rescue animals

  • Shelter and fire-building, plus a ride on the big swing, at Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing in Craig County, VA

*Activities may change based on weather and group ability.

PAYMENT: The Wild Way’s activities are offered on a sliding scale fee. After filling out the application below, you will be directed to a site where you can make your preferred contribution amount. Our services are FREE to families in need. Please don’t hesitate to request a fee waiver.
