The Wild Way’s Spring Break Camp is back in 2026! This camp overlaps with Roanoke County/Salem schools’ spring breaks.

There’s no excuse to be bored this spring break. Join us for a full week of outdoor adventure, including hiking, climbing, caving, and more. We are enrolling girls ages 9 to 14.

This five-day day camp includes the following adventures*:

• A beautiful and exciting hike (location TBD but may include Cascades, Dragon’s Tooth, or Hay Rock).

• Rock wall climbing and zip-lining at The Peaks Retreat & Adventure Center in Bedford, VA

• Caving in a real wild cave in Covington, VA

• Team-building and ecological education at Apple Ridge Farms in Copper Hill, VA, with a visit from some of the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center’s rescue animals

*Activities may change based on weather and group ability.

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation is provided to each day’s adventure location; we ask that parents drop-off and pick-up children at Wasena Park. Drop-off is at 8:30am each morning and pick up at 3:30pm.

PAYMENT: The Wild Way’s activities are offered on a sliding scale fee. After filling out the application below, you will be directed to a site where you can make your preferred contribution amount. Our services are FREE to families in need. Please don’t hesitate to request a fee waiver.
