Hollins Adventure Day: Saturday, March 7th (click here to enroll)

  • Wasena Park 1001 Winchester Avenue Southwest Roanoke, VA, 24015 United States (map)

We are lucky to have one of the nation’s leading women’s colleges right here in Roanoke.

Come with us to visit Hollins University and get a taste of the college life! Founded almost 200 years ago, Hollins was one of the first higher education institutions for women in America. We’ll learn more about the college’s history and do a campus tour, followed by a visit to their renowned Riding Center to meet their beautiful horses. After lunch, we’ll work with the Hollins Outdoor Program to conquer their indoor climbing wall.

TRANSPORTATION: Please drop your child off at Wasena Park at 9:30am and return for pick-up at 2:30pm, or you are welcome to drop off and pick up your child directly from Hollins. If transportation is a barrier to participation, please let us know and we will try to find a solution. Alternatively, if you’d like to meet us at the Hollins Campus, that is also an option.

PAYMENT: The Wild Way’s activities are offered on a sliding scale fee. After filling out the application below, you will be directed to a site where you can make your preferred contribution amount. Our services are FREE to families in need. Please don’t hesitate to request a fee waiver.
