Laura Leonard, Adventure Coordinator
Laura brings over two decades of experience integrating mindfulness, movement, and healing into everyday life. Her professional background includes work with underserved youth as well as individuals with disabilities, where she combines her understanding of psychology with a trauma-informed approach to wellness. Additionally, as a certified yoga and mindfulness instructor with over 500 hours of training, Laura weaves these practices into all that she does. She has led workshops and events in schools, camps, workplaces, and at community festivals, meeting people where they are and helping them connect with their inner resilience.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, paddling, cooking, dancing to live music, and exploring nature both near and far. While she may not be an expert on all things outdoors, she’s sure come a long way from the little girl who once saw a salamander while camping and swore she’d never go outside again! Her role as Adventure Coordinator with The Wild Way feels like a dream come true and she is honored to help support young girls build confidence, resiliency, and curiousity -- and develop a love for the outdoors while they're at it.
