Intro to Strength Training: Saturday, January 20th (click here to enroll)

  • Community Unify Roanoke 3656 Peters Creek Road Roanoke, VA, 24018 United States (map)

Who says the barbell is just for the boys? Feeling STRONG and capable is critical to confidence!

Strength and resistance training is a fun and exciting way to develop physical and mental strength, and it’s especially important for women’s health.

The Wild Way is working with Community Unify Roanoke to hold an “Intro to Strength Training” workshop for girls. We’ll talk about why strength training is so important for women’s health and cover some basic movements that you can do in a gym and at home.

Strength training isn’t just about having a strong body; it’s also about having a strong mind and getting outside of your comfort zone in a healthy way!

Please note that transportation for this event will NOT be provided. You will be responsible for dropping off and picking up your child. More details on drop-off and pick-up will be provided in a follow-up email. If your child would like to join us but transportation is a barrier to her participation, please email us at info@thewildway.org so we can try to find a solution.
