The Wild Way Spring Break Camp is back for 2023!
(This camp overlaps with Roanoke City public school spring break.)
Don’t be bored and stuck inside this spring break. Join us for a full week of outdoor adventure, including hiking, climbing, caving, camping skills, and more. At this time, we are enrolling girls ages 9 to 14.
Fees for this camp are on a sliding-scale fee, and this camp is completely FREE to families in-need. Just check the fee waiver button when you enroll!
Transportation is provided to each day’s adventure location; we ask that parents drop-off and pick-up children at Wasena Park. Drop-off is at 8:30am each morning and pick up at 3:30pm. This five-day day camp includes the following adventures*:
- Monday - Hiking and geocaching at the Cascades waterfall in Pembroke, VA
- Tuesday - Low- and high-ropes courses at Camp Bethel in Fincastle, VA
- Wednesday - Caving in Blacksburg, VA
- Thursday - Ecological education at Apple Ridge Farms in Copper Hill, VA, with a visit from some of the Southwest Virginia Wildlife Center’s rescue animals
- Friday - Camping and fire-building at Wilderness Adventure at Eagle Landing in Craig County, VA
*Locations and activities may change based on weather and group ability.
