The way that we look on the outside doesn’t always “match” our identity on the inside, but art gives us a way to express both.
How do YOU see yourself? We are all multi-faceted beings, and it’s impossible for our exterior selves to reflect our true nature.
Maybe you’re short and small, but you imagine yourself as brave and warrior-like. Perhaps you are shy with people who don’t know you well, but you’re the court jester when you’re with your closest friends. Someone who seems like a tough cookie might actually be a romantic poet at heart.
With the help of Wild Wayfarer SoJo Haire and in partnership with Canvas & Coffee Art Cafe, we will be creating self-portraits that capture our “external” self on one side and our “internal” self on the other. In addition to learning some basic art techniques, we will be challenging the girls to celebrate all parts of themselves.
This class is very casual and no art experience is required! Just an open mind and a willingness to express oneself.
