We’re teaming up with Roanoke Star Cycling to offer an “Intro to Mountain Biking” course at Carvin’s Cove.

We’ll meet at Wasena Park and then ride over to Carvin’s Cove to explore their beginner-friendly trail system. This event is a fun and laid-back introduction to mountain biking. We’ll work up an appetite on the trails, so we’ll celebrate with a burger and hot dog cook-out at the end.

Roanoke Star Cycling is a volunteer-run nonprofit that provides high-quality instruction in youth cycling at a competitive and non-competitive levels. Like The Wild Way, RSC strives to teach the importance of teamwork, community, goal-setting, and fostering a healthy lifestyle in a supportive, fun, and safe environment.

For this event, we require that participants already know how to ride a bike.

TRANSPORTATION: Transportation is provided to this event. We will meet at Wasena Park at 4:30pm and return by 8:15pm.

PAYMENT: The Wild Way’s activities are offered on a sliding scale fee. After filling out the application below, you will be directed to a site where you can make your preferred contribution amount. Our services are FREE to families in need. Please don’t hesitate to request a fee waiver.
