Who Knew Water Bugs Could Be So Cute?
Science rocks, y’all. Yesterday we visited Green Hill Park for some SUPing on the Roanoke River + macroinvertebrate exploration. We caught and examined all of the itty-bitty little critters that live on the river bed. Stoneflies, mayflies, caddisflies, snails…we saw a lot of animals!
We weren’t sure how the girls would feel when they realized how many “water bugs” were right under their feet, but they were all quite taken with their little aquatic pets. We loved examining them under the microscope and peering into another world!
