Roanoke Valley’s Female Trailblazers
The Wild Way is proud to be part of a team of powerful female leaders in Roanoke's outdoor space. Even though outdoor recreation is historically a male-dominated field, the Roanoke Valley has fostered a strong culture for women in the outdoors. A few of the awesome women we work with are mentioned in the recent "Powerful Trailblazers" article in The Roanoker Magazine, and there are many more women out there in leadership, teaching, and support positions modeling the same vision. The next generation of girls aren't seeing women as the minority in outdoor fields, but as the ones leading, building, and creating. Let's keep it up, ladies!
