Practicing River Safety & Rescue

Yesterday, we had a River Safety & Rescue class at Wasena Park. The girls learned about how to prepare for a paddle trip, read the river, swim defensively upstream to safety, and how to assist their friends who need help. Rescue techniques included tossing throw bags to a swimmer in distress and how to help an unconscious person onto their paddleboard!
