Feeling Zen

Feeling zen at Uttara Yoga Studio this weekend. Owner and instructor Laura Leonard guided us through a fun, interactive yoga session that introduced the girls to lots of cool poses (some of which incorporated silly animal noises), followed by breath work and making mantra bracelets.

We also did a mindful eating session where the girls compared dried, candied, and fresh pineapple. Most of the girls thought they’d like the candied pineapple the most…but they all agreed at the end that fresh was best!

When you slow down to really look at, touch, and taste your food, you’d be surprised by what you ACTUALLY enjoy. Mindfulness like this can make all areas of our lives better!
