Do You Like (Aquatic) Bugs?

Despite what the haters say, aquatic bugs are actually super cool. Did you know that one of the easiest ways to test the water quality of our streams and rivers is to capture, identify, and quantify the macroinvertebrates (i.e. aquatic bugs) that live in them?

Well, we are excited to announce that Alex is now qualified to serve as a Virginia Save Our Streams Water Quality Monitor so that The Wild Way can check the health of our favorite rivers. Collecting, categorizing, and counting our little aquatic friends is really fun AND contributes to science. We have a lot to look forward to this summer!
