Alpaca Cuddles!

Is there anyone who isn’t in love with alpacas? We visited Teaberry Alpaca Farms and learned all about what’s involved in caring for these cuddly creatures.

Family-owned and operated Teaberry Farms breeds alpacas and also sells and processes their wool. We learned about alpaca temperaments (spoiler alert: they are goofy, gentle, and often quite sweet) and what day-to-day life is like on an alpaca farm (another spoiler: it involves frequently analyzing poop for worms.)

The best part was when the girls had the opportunity to go into the fields to feed and pet them. Ruby the alpaca almost came home with us, but she couldn’t fit in the van.

Teaberry Farms offers tours and also sells their alpaca wool products on site. It’s a great way to spend a Saturday with the family!
